To shake off the old identity
The habits and ways of thinking
that seemed to serve at one time

It takes a while to lose yourself
To fall into a free flow of non-scripted
moving, of talking, of thinking

It takes mind power
and a conscious trust
To let go of the old
and well acquainted

It takes heart to trust
You are enough

And to make friends
with the you
That has been hiding
from the light
